-
Drinking Water -
Testing for potential
contaminants, including bacteria, trace metals, and volatile
organics are performed for public and private water
suppliers, as well as private individuals.
- Lakes and Streams - Lab services for baseline,
trend analysis, and remediation studies are provided.
Measurements of trace levels of nutrients, chlorophyll,
heavy metals, and organics is offered. Assistance with
project design and data interpretation is also available.
- Groundwater - Analysis of monitoring well samples
of organics, trace metals, and inorganics is performed
for solid waste permits, monitoring and remediation
projects. Sampling and field services are also
available.
- Sediments -
Bottom sediments are analyzed in support of projects ranging
from defining contaminant boundaries to research on
reference wetlands.
- Wastewater -
Laboratory analysis of wastewater is performed for
industrial and municipal compliance monitoring,
pre-treatment programs, and internal operation. Sludge
testing is also routinely performed.
- Hazardous Waste Evaluation -
Wastes are evaluated for composition, toxicity
characteristics (TCLP), corrosivity, reactivity, and
flammability.
-
Aquatic Toxicology - Biological tests are
performed to determine acute and chronic toxicity to
freshwater and marine vertebrates, invertebrates, and algae.
Whole effluent toxicity (WET), toxicity identification
evaluations (TIE), and product testing services are
provided.
- Taxonomy - Taxonomic identification of
freshwater fishes and benthic macroinvertebrates are
performed on samples collected for studying the biological
integrity of lakes, streams and wetlands.
- Product Evaluation -
Services Provided for PreManufacture Notice (PMN)
Submittal Using USEPA, ASTM, and International (OECD)
Methodologies. Services include toxicology,
biodegradation and chemical analysis studies.
- Consulting Services -
The cumulative
experience of our staff is called upon for expertise in
project design and QAPP preparation, laboratory method
development and QA/QC issues, bench-scale treatment studies,
electronic deliverables and database design.
- Field/Sampling Services -
Era is
equipped for and experienced in making field measurements
and collection of samples and in a variety of situations.
- Project Design/Development
- The staff of Era Labs is frequently called upon to
help determine appropriate sampling/analysis protocols,
